Brief Introduction

Originated from Xi’an Scientific & Technical Research Institute of Xi'an Railway Administration with a history of over forty years, Xi’an Railway Scientific & Technical Research and Development Co., Ltd., a modern scientific and technical enterprise, was established in Jan. 2003.
This company has 110 staff in total, of which 86 are technical personnel, including 34 senior engineers, 31 engineers, 3 outstanding young and middle-aged experts by entitled MOR with special bonus from the government, 5 young excellent talents honored by MOR and the Administration.
This company falls into R & D, manufacture, marketing and administrative departments. At its disposal are a HV lab, a mechanical test room, a high/low temperature and vibration lab, a quality inspection center, facilitated by a variety of test and measuring devices. What can be added to its achievements over the past ten-odd year are nearly 100 subjects entrusted by both the Ministry of Railway and the Administration. Of these subjects, 1 from national technical advancement rewording, 12 from MOR, 39 from the Administration. Of the products developed by the company 18 are granted national new product and 35 national patents.

The techniques and products developed by the company can be classified into the following four series: traction and power supply taken as the pillar industry of the company, inductive communication, construction and maintenance equipment on powered railways, geotechnical detection and treatment. The company has seen an extensive application of its products to the building, modification and operation of electric railway lines around China and has become one of the centers in research and production for Chinese railway electrification.
This company has established a comprehensive quality control system and by obtained ISO 9001 certificated in 1999, the production license issued by National Technical Supervision Bureau, the production permit by MOR, the engineering survey certificate by Shaanxi Construction Bureau and the second grade inductive communication design certificate. Thus, this company was recognized as a high-tech enterprise in 2003.
This company has received over the past forty-odd years great concern and support from MOR, the Administration, relevant departments of all levels, and willing assistances from universities and railway operation services.
